Frequently Asked Questions
What size should Amazon product photos be?
2,000 × 2,000 px, JPEG, between 300 KB and 1 MB. That's double the 1,000 px zoom threshold and a fraction of the 10 MB ceiling — this tool is preset to those numbers.
Why is my Amazon listing suppressed?
Most often an off-white main-image background (it must read exactly 255, 255, 255) or detected text/logos/watermarks. Resizing and compressing won't fix a non-white background — check it at 400% zoom.
Does compressing hurt my ranking?
No. Amazon doesn't rank on file size. What matters is that zoom works (needs 1,000 px+) and the image is sharp, both of which you keep by resizing to 2,000 px and compressing at high quality rather than uploading a raw 9 MB file.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. All resizing and compression happens locally in your browser, so unreleased product photography never leaves your machine.
